Insulation - Craftsmen Contractors

Comfort and Energy Savings

Better Than Insulation

A properly insulated house increases energy efficiency, helping reduce energy bills.

Most homes are best insulated with a combination of insulations, and Craftsmen Contractors offers them all. From traditional blown in insulation, batt insulation, or spray foam insulation to innovative reflective insulation, we will develop the best insulation plan for your house.

eShield™ Perfect Attic System

We highly recommend radiant barrier as an excellent addition to any attic system: it is a heat-reflective insulation, reflecting 97 percent of all radiant heat transfer! It is part of our specialty: the eShield™ Perfect Attic System. We’ll

  1. Analyze your current insulation and energy efficiency situation,
  2. Make sure you’re well-insulated and up to code by sealing any air pockets and applying blown-in insulation as needed,
  3. Protect against radiant heat with radiant barrier reflective foil insulation, and
  4. Help you develop an energy use management plan.

This four-step process provides optimum home insulation, creating a home envelope that minimizes energy transfer by combating all three types of heat transfer: conductive, convective, and radiant.

Blown-In Insulation

Even better, eShield blown-in fiberglass insulation from step 2 is guaranteed to remain at the R-value level you purchased for as long as you own your home. The warranty can even be transferred once, to the next owner!

Insulation levels are specified by R-Value. R-Value is a measure of insulation’s ability to resist heat flow. The higher the R-Value, the better the thermal performance of the insulation. The recommended level for most attics is to insulate to R-38 or about 10 to 14 inches, depending on insulation type. At Craftsmen we go above and beyond.
